1. Screening Tests

These short tests help teachers screen pupils in order to place them at the correct stage of Red Squirrel Phonics. The screening tests comprise of Phonemes (one test covering both Set 1 and Set 2), Words (including decodable words and nonsense words) and Tricky Words. The Words tests are separated into Sets 1 and Sets 2. The information is extracted from the Phonics assessment in our Teachers’ Books.
